A Dallas native, Cyndi grew up listening to her father's classical & rock music records, an interest which led her to take vocal and piano lessons at the age of 12.  By 14, she was singing in her first rock band.  Her musical influences include Pat Benatar, Robert Plant, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holliday.

Since then, she has performed and recorded with several rock bands (Bastille, RawHoneyStoned, Mind's Eye), and received “Outstanding Music Performer of the Year" for her role in a musical at Cedar Valley Community College, (from which she also holds associate degrees in Commercial Music, Recording Technology and Art & Sciences).  She is also part owner of Spirit House Recording Studios in Oak Cliff.
